1: What is Duedil?
Duedill is an online tool that allows you to search for the easiest way to look up information on companies in the UK; including- financials- who works there- what investments they have, etc. We aggregate over 30 billion pieces of data on companies and collate this information for businesses to use for free.
2: How did you come up with idea?
I saw that there was a problem with finding this kind of information about companies, it was a long and arduous task that was not only time consuming but expensive. Basically it wasn’t sexy, so we simplified it and made it free for everyone to use.
To expand:
Our revenue does not come from advertising, money comes with traction, . We want people to use the Duedil service and depend on it, so that eventually all business will use it to gather information. We want to provide a service for business people- it is a relatively ‘out there’ concept, but we believe that trust facilitates business to move at a quicker pace and Duedil can give business the information they need to create trust and understanding.
The three main ways you create trust are:
1-Information gathering- understand who you are dealing with.
2-This information needs to be frequent and up to date at all times.
3- Motivational alignment- understand where their motivations lie. Thus building a trust system for businesses.
If businesses can create trust amongst each other quickly, then you have sped up the speed at which a business operates.
For example on Facebook is voyeuristic- if you can see a person’s profile in full- their pictures and their wall, find out who they are friends with, whom they write to frequently you can begin to build up a picture of who they are and you trust them. If you cant see any personal information about them you do not trust them and begin to doubt who they are. Duedill is all about creating this level of transparency. Thus you can gain access to a companies profile and make a more informed and trusted decision on who they are.
3: What does the future look like for Duedil?
I would like all businesses to use Duedill and thus build a trust system enabling them to complete business deals faster. Duedill is business voyeurism and I think there is a unique space for this product in the market.
4: The Technology industry is growing rapidly- especially in a recession, do you expect this to continue?
Of course- its is an industry that is always expanding and growing rapidly, something that is especially prevalent during a recession. Now as we move out of the recession, companies will begin to make money on their investments and see if their idea is profitable.
5: Tell us a little bit about yourself- Where you studied/worked previously and how you have reached the point you have today?
Always been fascinated with being a geek.

6: Do you consider yourself an Entrepreneur? And what are the qualities necessary to become one?
Yes I do.
I think it is very important to have the disposition and the ability to fail multiple times and pick yourself up and do it all over again. Persistence is the key.
7: Where do you see yourself in Ten years?
Hopefully doing something that really fascinates me and making a difference.
8: What advice would you give to individuals who want to start out and build their own business?
1- Clarity and simplicity are a necessity in a startup business. Although Duedil is a massively complex operation in practice we try and simplify it as much as possible for our audience.
2- The more times you try the more chances you have to succeed. you have to be able to deal with failure.
