Our favourite girl Michaela Wright is about to drop her first single ‘Whose that Girl’ Stateside…watch this space, this girl is gonna be the next big deal!
Jessie Mills is fighting Fire with Fire…looking smokin hot in the process. This girl is really taking the dance world by storm, and her work keeps getting better and better. Her sultry voice mixed with a strong beat is a great combination. Have a listen….
What a beautiful song written by the very talented James Robinson of Two Spot Gobi and featuring Jason Mraz. A great vocal combination, Mraz’s support of TSG has even led them to record their new album at his California pad….if Mraz thinks these boys are that good then he must be on to something- what a great combination of vocals and talent. Soul music for the heart.
Charlie Simpson, such a beautiful soulful voice, I have a feeling he will go on to great things. His new album ’ Young Pilgrim’ drops on August 15th, but his song Parachutes is released on Aug 7th, so keep your eyes peeled!
Alex Claire: The most beautiful and soulful voice that sings lyrics that clearly come from the heart. Whats more up close and personal he is an absolutely awesome guy!! listen and buy his new album The Lateness of the Hour now!!!
Owen Cutts- although this is one of his earlier video’s, Owen has a lot of new material coming out shortly. This is a recap of his brilliant work- with more tunes and an interview to follow shortly.

Name: Michaela
Occupation: Singer/songwriter

When did you first start singing?
I always sang in my school plays and productions, but I didn’t realize I could potentially sing and write songs as a full time career until I was in university. I think I always knew that I wanted to sing and be a songwriter but it is never an easy road to go down and as I was studying at University I knew that I just had to do it, because to not have music in my life would not be an option.
Where did you learn how to sing? (ie did u study or train with anyone notable?) or was it a natural talent.
I was not formally taught how to sing, it was something that I just loved to do and was good at. I used to practice in my room every night with my CDs or with the radio on and would just sing at the top of my lungs! Of course you have to practice a lot and get to know your own voice, its strengths and weaknesses, but most importantly to connect with the words you are singing. You need to form an emotional attachment to them.
You also write the songs you sing- and have written them for other established artists- what inspires you to write?
So many things inspire me to write songs, whether it’s personal experiences, experiences I’ve seen friends and/or loved ones go through, news stories or just general observations. Song-writing has become one of the most enjoyable parts of what I do. I absolutely love working on new songs – I get very excited! To work on new material, cover new topics, play with different sounds, sing in a variety of styles etc is always such a joy. I love it!
Which song are you most proud of and why?
That’s such a tough question because each song is special to me for different reasons. However I would say if i had to pick one right now, All The Way stands out because it’s quite a personal song and it took me some time to let go of those emotions.
What does the future hold for Michaela?
Ahhh that is the $60 million question!! I wish I knew!! I can say this – I will continue to write songs, sing, perform and do what I love to do for as long as I can. I hope to be touring by end of this year and see where it goes from there!
What is your life motto?
No regrets
Who inspires you in the industry and why?
I’m inspired by so many singers, songwriters and producers at different levels of success in the industry and for many different reasons. But the likes of Madonna, Christina Aguilera and Beyonce really stand out for me as they are strong, incredibly successful women who always deliver amazing performances but are not afraid to switch it up and try something different.
What advice would you give to other aspiring singers?
Prepare yourself for a bumpy ride, know and be happy with who you are and what you want, and finally never give up on your dream.
Jess Mills…beautiful voice, mixed with fresh electro pop beats- genius and beautiful!
